I'd like the lift and extra articulation, but I'd never get the truck through NJ MVS inspection with the tires sticking out 3" past the fenders.

I wonder how much a wrecking yard would charge for an entire Armada rear end?

I haven't seen much interest since my post. This is RacerZX's board, so I don't feel comfortable going any further until he expresses an opinion on the idea and approves a specific design. Then we need to find an on-line vinyl shop that can take the artwork and make a cutting template file, and reli...

Well there you have some more input. I guess I should have spent less time editing. Ragpaoa, are you sure about the diffs? It seems when ARB lockers were discussed last year, it was established that US Pathfinders have the R200 diff, vs the R230 used in the Armada and non-US Pathy's. Does the...

I didn't have that problem in the beginning of July. In fact, it was quite the opposite. I was hoping to ad hoc join up with some other vehicles, as I would have been able to go on some more difficult trails if I had someone with me to help out with spotting and recovery (my kids aren't experienced ...

Now that's an accessory I'd buy for the Pathfinder. And the water tank kit sounds interesting, too!

Since I live out in the ass end of nowhere, my only chance is if one of the forum members happens to be passing through & stopping off somewhere for a day or two. Those of you on the east and west coasts should have much better luck organizing things since there are other forum members in the a...

I'd consider organizing a weekend run this Spring in the NJ Pine Barrens if there's enough interest. It would primarily consist of category 1 packed/sugary sand and easy water (max 10"), with a few category 2 spots (deeper sand/water, some mud). 90% of the trip could probably be done in 2WD unl...

I towed a 5,000 lb trailer from NJ through SD, WY, UT, CO and back with my V6 Pathfinder SE. I also had 600 lbs of people plus another 250 lbs of gear in or on the truck. I had no trouble except for the expected poor fuel economy and being a bit underpowered going up mountains. You will have to deal...

With the increased importance on hands free cell phone use, I am strongly looking at the Bluetooth capability of these Garmins for part of my justification. I just need a little push to get me over. I would love to hear your thoughts as to how these devices perform in conjuction with your mobile ph...

While TireRack does have a small selection of wheels if you're looking to go bigger, but not if you're looking to go wider in the standard 16" diameter. While 18" wheels look sharp, that's not the direction you want to go if you're off-roading. You want more rubber between the wheel and th...

The local dealership will do a 2° timing advance or retard for free as it only takes a few minutes to get it done. Things must be different in the 49th state. In New Jersey, stealerships would charge you full PAR rate for the adjustment, even if it was done in conjunction with other under-hood serv...

I've had no issues so far. 29K miles, 6K towing a 5,000# trailer. It's been down at 40 a few days this year and still no issues. But I'll definitely ask about the Matic-S when I go in for my this month.

Love the look, even though it's the complete opposite of what I want to do. I'm thinking 3" lift and 33" rubber on 16" wheels. Alas, I work for AIG, (in IT for the insurance end), so you know what I'm doing with my money these days.
