I used the exact same hooks as you did, so it looks the same as the pics already posted. I only did the front 2 and back 2 and left the middle ones stock. I also bought a big caribeaner (spelling?) and hooked it through the tie-down and the handle of my tool bag where all my towing hitch parts are. ...

I usually reach around the side too, because, if you don't and go through the access hole, there is no where to get the filter back out without the oil pouring down your arm.

I'm way to frugal (read, cheap) for a $15 oil filter.

Installed them! Works great. I feel much better about how my cargo would survive an accident. Thanks for posting this. Cheapest, most fuctional mod I've done yet.

I admit it's a tight squeeze, but in a dozen oil changes, I've never received any life threatening injuries. Wonder if a batch went out, with a bad stamping on the skid plate, leaving sharp edges. My toughest time is the angle that I have to reach in to get to the filter makes it difficult to break ...

And, of course, exhaust shields are not covered by warranty. What a joke. If it came on the car and it's not a "wear and tear" item, it should be covered.

I didn't say you were that kind of customer, but that's what the dealership sees. They reacted just like I said they would. Shopping around for a different service writer won't matter. I appreciate you helping me illustrate my point, though.

If a dealership knew you were just hunting the internet looking for things you felt should be done to your car, because you found a TSB on it, they may have in issue with reapairing it. Think of it like returning your steak at a restaurant. "Here comes the picky guy again." I wish things l...

If you go to the dealership on a regular basis, just keep in mind that you can't play stupid after you hand them a TSB. I use the line, "I read some where on the internet..." when I bring it in with an issue related to a TSB i've read. Although, I am close to printing one out and showing i...

Some cars' shift lock engages when you've been in an accident. Good to knwo if its a fender bender, and all of a sudden, you can't get your car in gear.

I had one on my Sentra SE-R Spec-V for the 4 years I had it without a problem. Sounds awesome. It gave it a little more pep, too. A Nismo product installed by Nissan (this would depend on the jackass-ness of the dealer you work with) will not void the warranty on the rest of the car. So, if you roas...

Has anyone had their pathfinder in for service after doing the bypass? I just had my tranny and radiator replaced due to "the issue" and thought that now would be a perfect time to do the bypass. My concern is that I have another 18 months of warranty left and don't know if the dealer woul...

Are you measuring MPG with your trip computer, or are you doing the math when you fill up with gas. For the most part, my trip computer actually does a pretty good job, but not always. As far as the 30,000-50,000 miles between cleaning your filter; I would recommend doing it FAR more frequently. It ...

Re: 2006 Pathy Cold Air Intake Installed - MPG boost

I installed an aFe cold air intake on my 06 pathy. The previous tank of gas that I ran through I got about 13.6mpg on the tank. I did two things - upgraded my gas grade to 91 from 87, and installed an aFe cold air intake. So far on the new tank driving the same routes I'm getting 16.1mpg and climbi...

Turn the key to On, not starting the vehicle. Wait 3 seconds. Depress and completely let off on the gas pedal 5 times in less than 5 seconds. Wait 7 seconds, exactly (a watch with a second hand helps). Depress the gas pedal for 10 seconds. When you see the blinking Check Engine Light, you did it rig...
