Australia has them too, but they would be no good for Pathys in the US because they drive on the other side of the road.

A 4x2 is a 2wd vehicle. All 2wd vehicles are 4x2, meaning number of wheels on vehicle x drive wheels. A 4wd vehicle has power going to all wheels. I hope that answers your question. The R51 4x2 version powers the rear wheels.

I did the same thing except I did not remove the light bulb covers. I just pulled the light bulb plug from the back(inside). Put the new bulbs in and sealed everything up. It took about 15 minutes.

license plate bulbs

Have any of you gentlemen or ladies had to replace the bulbs from your license plate? I had to this morning and those two phillip screws are hard to get to. So I took a 10mm socket and a 7mm socket and gently pulled the inside cover from the rear gate. I found this easier that wrestling with two phi...

It is probably the code on the valet key. I wish I new of a way to check the code on keys. It from what you describe the valet key that is the one I am using to drive my Pathy. The dealer charges $50 for programming a key.

My last post got sent to oblivion, but here is the jist: I have a Prostart command start (sold at canadian tire here in canada). Installed by a friend who is a professional. Nice clean install, no messy wires, all soldered connections, and a proper immobilizer bypass (not a key taped under the dash...

It seems this thread got side tracked. I am going to keep looking for a remote start, I am going to pick the brains of the people over at crutchfield to see what they know. Also at the dealership if I can find somebody knowledgeable on the matter.

I checked out the link you posted skinny2. Does it work with your seat memories? I need that function to work so the wife doesn't have to manually readjust seats, mirros and pedals when she drives. Also I did not see an answer to the Nissan NVIS Vehicle Immobilizer issue does it use a module for this?

remote Start

I am looking to purchase a remote start for my 2006 Pathy. Does anyone know of one that works with the Nissan security system i.e. the chip on the key (I don't want to tape a key under my dash). Also is there one that works with the seat memories on the Pathy? Any suggestions.
