The dealer here quoted me 1.5 hours for the O2 sensors, and 3 hours to change the plugs! Is this normal? (They also quoted me $401.36 per sensor and $37.82/plug). And how do I post pictures? Do I need a minimum number of posts first? Thanks! You have to use an image hosting service like imagebb. Go...

Speaking to a friend, his 2016 CRV was just at Honda (outside 36mo warranty but less than 100k km) and had the entire timing chain assy replaced at a cost of just under $2k. I have been hearing stories like this on all makes, but I always have higher expectations from Honda. Disappointed in this cas...

OK so check that... I just perused the FSM, and it looks like DRL control is done through the BCM for my truck. Section LT page 31.

They have a really good section on checking the relays and wire continuity, so I will do that and see what I find!

DRL Daytime Running Light module

Hey everyone, So I think my DRL module is failing. From what I've seen, they are fairly poorly made, not sealed well, and in the engine compartment. But damned if I can find mine! Any idea where I can look? I checked 'behind the right headlight' pulled out the battery and came up empty. I'm getting ...

Is it the whining noise you are refering to? I could kind of hear that. Otherwise, seemed fine, though a little loud. do you have an aftermarket exhaust? Do you have an exhaust leak maybe? Put a mechanics stethoscope on any of the bearings in the belt drive, alternator, tensioner, ac compressor... d...

A pic would help. Most likely something aftermarket like an alarm, amp, or remote starter.

that would be a heater hose from what I can see. Do you have a pic from farther back so we can see where it is in the engine compartment?

When pulling my rig with my VQ40, the engine temps can get up to 230F when ambient temps are high, but thats not enough to make the engine coolant temp gauge move to show its overheating (i measure using a scan tool). Does your gauge move? If so, are you able to measure the actual temps with a scan ...

Thats a tough one. Thinking from my perspective, I would be going after the powertrain components. Engine, Transmission, Transfer case (assuming its a 4wd) and maybe even front and rear diffs, CV Half shafts. Also some electrical stuff if in good shape. ABS harnesses, O2 sensors, catalytic converter...
