@ volvite. thanks. I had previously found it but was hoping it was like a oil dip stick where i can check it without removing a bolt.
I'm assuming once I remove the bolt there is a stick inside to check fluid level?
thanks again.

no dip stick ?!

since there is no transmission dip stick provided, how does one go about checking the fluid without taking it to dealer?
how much does it cost?
thanks.

After they made the repairs to the secondary timing chain I noticed the vibration right away. I took it back and had them check it. They spoke with the mechanic who worked on my car to make sure things were done right. Of course he is going to say yes. I even made a mechanic drive the car with me in...

05 path at 72,000 miles

I've been reading up on previous post on the transmission/fluid thing. as I approach the 80K mark, I've been concerned for my transmission. I had some big repairs done last year such as the timing chain. warranty covered that. but ever since that point, I've been concerned for the car. gas mileage d...

besides those signs you guys are describing at shuddering. and visual inspection of the trans fluid or radiator fluid to see if contamination as occurred. isn't there a way to put the car on a dyno type machine and drive it and see if the rpm's matches the correct speed? I've been following all the ...

I was lucky that I was covered under extended warranty. My cost was around $300 and total cost was over $1200. It took a week because they have to do the labor part and submitting for approval. I'm glad my service write was on my side and keep pushing the warranty company to approve the work. this o...

I have not done the bypass and the path just turned 70K. i have on 05. car was at dealer beginning of November for the timing chain shoe replacement issue. I routinely check the radiator fluid to see if any color or trans fluids. but have not notice any. i was wondering if this is transmission conta...

can you say that the shuddering is at 2000 rpm? I started a thread that I descibed as vibration at 2000 rpm. idle or moving, i can feel it. too it in to dealer and they looked it over but could not discover the problem. I just had the secondary timing shoes replaced. I was thinking possible tranny i...

I experience the same on my 05. but mostly on passenger door. I figured it was poor seals and when driving highway speeds add strong winds blowing. when it hit the door seals it was pushing the door out creating the whistling sound. thanks for posting this as it does confirm poor seals. $60 from dea...

dealer could not find the problem. they do confirm that there is vibration between idle and up to 2000prm. vibration is felt in parked and also while driving. They think it can be exhaust. I do have an aftermarket exhaust but swear this vibration was never felt prior to the last major service which ...

05, on accelerting, feels like vibration

I just got the car back after the secondary chain tensioners were replaced correcting the whining sound I reported. that is all good now. but now I discovered something new. from idle to 2000 prm's, if I keep it there the acceleration feels like a slight vibration or pulse stating feel. *added* the ...
