I disconnected my battery overnight after putting my Gibson on, in hopes that resetting the ECU would help the lack of power gain. I drove it very hard the next day, expecting it to re-learn it's A/F adjustments and stuff, but that evening the test showed I lost .1 seconds in a g-tech simulated 1/4...

would unplugging the battery reset anything with the new exhaust installed?
I was thinking along the line of air/fuel mixture.
maybe it would reset something so that its can perform with the new piping/exhaust.
thanks.

low end feels great.
with better piping the air flow is a lot better and makes accelerating even better. (fun also)
I also notice my gas mileage somewhat has improved. I will have to monitor that and report my findings.

Overall I am very pleased. Its only been 2 days. well, my observations about the Magnaflow exhaust system. the muffler is 2 inlet and 1 outlet. as you can see from the pictures, the 2 piping into the 2 outlet is a lot better compared to stock. No restrictions to flow. muffler is 22" long. 2.25 ...

MagnaFlow exhaust-custom system

I finally got my Magnaflow exhaust system installed. Take a look at the pictures. I have very positive comments I will post later. but do enjoy the pictures. I think this is better than the Gibson system. http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z234/john2rockwell/MagnaFlow%20Nissan%20Pathfinder/DSC00141....

upgrading wheels. whats the largest size possible?

I've been thinking about upgrading the wheels on my 05 Pathfinder. couple of questions. 1. what is the bolt pattern? 2. what is the largest rim possible before rubbing and turning become an issue? 3. my Path is 4x4. do I have to get 4x4 specific rims or any wheel size that fit is okay? 4. I was thin...

so if there is a potential power loss, is that due to a larger size muffler and 3" in/out outlets? maybe the pipe that has the tight bend under the drivers side was to help create more lowend power. I am still planning on doing an exhaust system, I'm just going add a Magnaflow with a dual in an...

very nice.
I should drive up the coast more often. I don't know why I don't since the coast is so close to LA. whether you drive up north or down south, its nice and great to enjoy.
Thanks for getting me motivated to take a day trip along the Cali coast :)
