I thought about the power core, but I don't really have alot of dusty conditions. So I didn't care if she didn't pay the premium for the power core (I'm def not going to complain!) I also have to deduct the $20 rebate and another $10 for the review, so it's at $213.00 to our door... the power core w...

It's less than a year old, the whistle is not as notticeable with the stock intake as it was with the K&N FIPK I had on. It was really notticable with the K&N and it would create a kind of woosh as the throttle opened.

NVSteve, it definitely gained some power, I don't have to push the gas pedal as hard now to get giong. As far as mileage I averaged another tank out and I got 15.8 mpg with quite a bit of agressive driving, and I would have got right at 14.4 mpg . I also idled it every day on that tank to warm it up...

I've got to chime in and say... I LOVE my Gibson stainless cat-back, it has the perfect tone (for me) and is not too loud. I had a Frontier with a Flomaster and custom exhaust & actually lost alot of torque, I was way into the gas when towing. So I got rid of it and bought an aluminized Gibson c...

I'm sure what you're talking about is piston slap. I have it on cold mornings at startup and until the motor reaches operating temp, I'm sitting at 78,000 miles on mine. If it wont go away when the engine warms up, then you have a problem. When the motor is cold just avoid any hard acceleration to p...

GeddyLee, She got the one with the oiled filter, it's a little cheaper, but I don't mind re-oiling it when I clean it. The cone filter is actually on top of the battery in the first pic. She fessed up that she ordered it from Autoanything.com and with 15% holiday special + free shipping it was $243....

Volant cold air intake installed today

I just want to share pics of a great Christmas gift my wonderful Wife bought for me. I have been wanting a Volant CAI for a while now, ever since I had my K&N FIPK II. I sold the K&N because the shield that is around the filter isn't sealed and still draws hot air from the engine bay, plus t...

NVSteve, the 9416K28 will work the extended length will be .38" longer than stock and the compressed length will be 1.3" shorter. The fact that it is 1.3" shorter will render the factory rubber stops useless, and the hatch will slam shut. But they will fit and they are a fairly inexpe...

Well, I installed the shocks and like the specs said the body and overall length is 1/4" shorter but has the same stroke. I switched the anodized ends and put the factory ends on with a thick washer to space it out a 1/4" to match stock. It raises with authority, I can let go half way and ...

I just thought about the .9 mpg difference, and did the math at $3 per gallon... at 15,000 miles per year that is $19.63 per month. Not much savings but it makes a difference.

I notticed that when I took it off this is how my mileage has gone since I removed the CAI and the TB spacer. I drive 60% highway 40% city and fairly agressive. Exhaust, CAI, TB Spacer = 16.6 mpg avg Exhaust, TB Spacer = 15.2 mpg avg Exhaust = 14.3 mpg avg (the avg I got on the last tank of gas, 87 ...
