Darn.... it was worth shot. This was the email that was sent :( Greetings: Thank you for your interest in our product. Unfortunately the only supports we carry with the correct dimensions for the Pathfinder are 185 pounds. In order to go 15-20 pounds higher we add an extra 6 inches in extended lengt...

Keep that wheel down below and pick up a ViaAir 100% duty cycle compressor. You can run air tools and inflate tires with no tank. They're wicked-cool and a lot of hard core off-roaders swear by them. Great idea! I checked them out on the ViaAir site. I already took the tire back off the roof. I adj...

NVSteve, you're def not offending. I took it down the road & your right, GOTGOO, it feels more tippy. Plus sometimes when I buy stuff that is oversized I throw it on the rack, which is now rendered useless :?. I love the swing away idea... but I'm not into fabricating one.

need opinions: Tire on top? or.... no.

I'am debating on mounting my matching spare tire on top of the Pathy. I want to mount an air tank & pump under the chassis to rig up a valve to adjust my rear bags on the fly, and to have air on board for other things too. The dilemma is that there is no room under the chassis to mount a tank &a...

PVC will be slick and hard to keep still, maybe if your in a pinch you could throw some 4' peices of 2x4s up there befor you load it an use ratchet straps to snug the tree down.

I am having a similar issue (well kinda) my negative and positive terminals were/are loose similating a 'dead battery'. I haven't narrowed it down 100% as I was underway for two weeks and left the connectors plugged. Jumping it today I realized they were both loose. The negative battery connector i...

Facevedo, The problem you have is most likely the belt auto tensioner. I replaced my belt tensioner at 50K, it's a simple fix, there is only 1 bolt that holds it on. Best I remember the tensioner is less than $40 plus it's probably a good idea to buy a new belt too (about $20). The timing chain tens...

i'll stick with the by-pass, thank you.............. i'd rather stick with the transmission that i've got, as opposed to a remanufactured transmission which i wouldn't feel confident with, let alone the botch job that a dealer is likely to do installing it  I agree, mine is just fine by-passe...

I agree NVSteve, the new 4runner IMO is ugly and cumbersome. I guess because they tried to tie it in with cues of the FJ. The Pilot is ok but is a real crossover disguised as a SUV. The Jeep GC is a SUV disguised as a crossover but looks WAY too much like a Ford Edge.... boring.

The biggest problem with this match up is the fact that you're comparing a newly redesigned model (4runner) to a model that is being built on aged tooling (Pathfinder). The current pathfinder R51 chassis has been in production since 2004. And it doesnt help in terms of perceived "build quality&...

I don't recall an upper pad just a lower, but i also didn't take the spring out because of my air lift bags. I lowered the swing arm with a jack pulled the lower pad then dropped in the rancho and jacked it back up to bolt it in. Mine didn't come with directions though... :? I saw your other post p...
