Pathfinder reliability

Postby Coachman » Thu Dec 26, 2013 2:16 am

I tow a heavy caravan frequently in Europe and am about to replace an ageing - and very reliable Kia Sorento.
The new Sorento cannot give me the 85% match with the van that I want and the Pathfinder looks the ideal vehicle - however I have been put off by the negative reports I read from current owners over the Pathfinders reliability and longevity (particularly clutches), however I note that most of these criticisms seem to be from the owners of older Pathfinders.
I would be looking at a new, ex demo or "pre-registered" car - can anyone advise me whether Nissan have resolved the common reliability issues by now?
My Sorento has never missed a beat in over 100,000 miles but it is now time to change, however I would not like to jump into a car I couldn't have confidence in.
Many thanks in anticipation of your replies.

We have had no problems with our Pathy besides regularly scheduled maintenance.
