***UPDATE***WTK: Exhaust options for V8 pathy

Postby Ar-45acp » Sat Mar 22, 2014 1:37 am

Trying to find an aftermarket bolt on exhaust for my pathfinder. All I am finding are 6cyl  Anyone try to fit a 6 to the v8? are they even close? Thanks, Jay.

Bolted on a gibson ss catback for the 4.0 it fit zero mods. It is not the highest quality exhaust I have seen but for under 500$ and not having to deal with shady exhaust shop guys around here I call it good.

I would but not until the embarrassing cracked manifolds are replaced. They sound like crap.

I had a passenger side cracked manifold, but it was replaced under warranty through Nissan.

Have you looked into that?

No but I will check into it. 120k on the clock on mine so they might not. Cajun b pipes, jba headers and uprev are my solution if they won't do anything.

That sounds like a nice set up.

Well I hope it works out. I was going to just replace with oem but balked at the manifold prices. Darn good thing yours were under warranty!

Manifolds are only covered on the V8 under the 8yr/80k emissions warranty so you're out of luck. But, you don't need to replace the b-pipe since the manifolds can be replaced with the JBA LT's.

Yea that is what they said at the dealership. Said they could give me a deal on new ones if I had them install them lol. My b pipes are rough, real rough not worth putting them back on IMHO. Truck sounds pretty good hoping I don't have to add resonators after the headers and b pipes after 3 years of driving with drone I was happy to have a quiet ride

Yeah, mine has some CIS, but I've got a small 18" MF muffler and cat-less b-pipes.

My assumption would be that yours will sound something like this: http://www.clubarmada.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30905
