EGT

Anyone know what the exhaust gas temperatures should be on YD25 diesel engine.
Under load mine goes up over 750 deg C (1400 deg F), which I am sure is too high and may be indicating worn injectors?
Did take it to Nissan to query, but not sure they even know what EGT is.

Is that all the time, or just when you are doing a regen? Any check engine light? Fault codes? I agree that sounds high if its all the time.

Its only when loading the engine, such as uphills and towing etc.
If I slack off, it comes down easily, but by keeping below 650 Deg C (1200 Deg F) it feels like only using about 80% of available power
