Howdy from Austin, Texas! What can I expect first??

Postby tigger » Sun Jun 01, 2014 5:36 pm

Well, I just bought a 2012 4L Pathfinder. 39K miles, 20K$. White w tan interior. Learned with my last vehicle (06 Trailblazer) that owners forums are the best friend my wallet and my truck ever had. That said, what can I expect to go wrong with the Pathfinder? Any advice for noob? Throttlebody cleaning was the Trailblazers fightsong...LOL

Well, thanks for responding, and awesome! Read a bunch about a trans cooler bypass issue. Seems that it was remedied before 2012, true?

I have a 2012 SV and so far (hope I don't jinx myself) I haven't run into anything serious and I'm up to 37K miles. Hopefully the previous owner kept up with the maintenance. Try to find out if it's been more or less kept on the recommended maintenance schedule because depending on how it's been driven you should think about checking/changing the tranny fluid, brake fluid and the small stuff like the intake filter and cabin air filter.
Other than that, I'm not aware of any real pitfalls with a Pathy so long as you take proper care of it.

Thanks bro! Seems like the previous owners used all their warranty services available. Any stuff pops up and I'll be here to let yall know.
