Hey all..
Just wondering what the biggest 16 inch tire I can fit in my 2005 SE would be..without lifting it..

33" and trim front inside fenders remove mud flaps rear shouldnt rub

yeah, that's pretty much it. I had my 33s on for a few weeks before I put my lift on and all I had to do was hit the inside of the fronts with a heat gun and push them back a little

I currently have 265/75r16.... Do you think I can do even larger with maybe 265/80r16? Or even 85?

265-75-16 is about 31.6"

265-80-16 won't give you a whole lot of options at all. that's a super strange size. same goes for 265-85-16. you'll probably have to go a little wider to a 285 in order to get a taller sidewall.

a 285-75-16 is about 32.8," roughly equivalent to the 285-70-17s that lots of people run.

a few guys on the xterra site run 255-85-16, which they affectionately refer to as "pizza cutters." those are about 33.1." only a few companies make tires in that size though.

Like the other poster said those get less common so might cost more then a common size i think 285/75/16 is plenty big for a non lifted pathy but either way lifted or not the front plastics need to be either trimmed or melted/formed away from tire
