22s are on...

Image

22x9.5 Liquid Metal Wingmans with 265/40 Kumho STX. Haven't driven it yet, just bolted them on.

No hub rings, but if it needs them, I'll turn some out of delrin on the lathe.

More later, just wanted to get the pics up. I'm pretty pleased with how it looks.

yup. H&R springs with a coil cut all around and helper bags in the back. Rides great. WOuld look good a little lower, but this is about as low as you can go without really cutting or sacrificing the ride.

Love the look, even though it's the complete opposite of what I want to do. I'm thinking 3" lift and 33" rubber on 16" wheels. Alas, I work for AIG, (in IT for the insurance end), so you know what I'm doing with my money these days.

did some freeway driving last night. Smooth as butter, even with no rings. I mean, it still has that same crappy shudder on road imperfections, but no vibration in the wheel from not being in balance.

That looks awesome. What about the tire pressure sensors? Is the TPMS going to start telling you that pressure is low?

It is a 2wd.

I had a blow out a few months ago and have been running the spare, so the TPMS light has been on for a long time. Figured I was used to seeing it so I didn't worry about the sensors for now. I barely even notice it anymore.

Big brakes would be nice, just not in the budget right now. It seems to stop and go just fine so far.

I notice a little more "weight" on the steering wheel, but that is most likely due tot he increased contact patch of the tire.

No real adverse effects so far... just gotta watch the pot holes and the curbs more now :)
