2001 Pathfinder SE 4x4 5 speed
Upon deceleration, there is a rumble/vibration. Happens even if the transfer case is in neutral. Noticeable at speeds in excess of about 20mph. Seems to go away on acceleration. Sometimes its there more than others times. Can be felt in stick shift. Sounds similar to rumble strip, but in the shifter it feels less steady - more of a random yet consistent grumble that you can feel upon deceleration.
U-joints feel ok by hand. Fluids are up. Vibration and sound started as soon as I replaced the upper rear trailing arms due to bad rubber mounts in the old ones.
Any ideas as to what the cause of the vibration is?
P.S. It has manual hubs in the front which are disengaged. Front bearings were adjusted recently. Already tried replacing the tires. Vibration is present decelerating in neutral, but less pronounced.
