New wheels/tires or keep OEM wheels., DECISION... WAS MADE.

After alot of research and reading about 20" and 18" aftermarket wheels, and pulling my hair out, LOL. I decided to just keep my attractive 17" factory wheels but tossed the BFG long trails with only 3300 miles for the Yokohama Geo's AT/S.. I stayed with the 265-65-17 tire size. The Yokohamas have a extra ply than the BFG so the load is greater on the Yoko's, and I now have blackwall tires,, I cannot stand white lettering.. I must say the Yoko's are nice and the Pathy rides much better and handles better also, Not to mention Pathy looks better.. My decision was a good one, I am glad I stayed with OEM wheels. I saved money..

these look pretty cool - how did you come up with your decision to choose these over other tire makes, if you don't mind me asking. Thanks

Yokohama is a superior tire.

The extra ply over the BFG and the Toyo open countrys sold me also. Plus the tire looks pretty awsome on rim, and on the vehicle. tread is very nice, will channel water very well, nice sipeing from Yokohama for ice. deep lugs for mud. The tire also has a traction A rating. and a Temp rating B and tread wear 500. The speed rating is H up to 130 mph, the BFG was a S. to 112 Mph.The speed rating of a tire is based on U.S. Government standards for reaching and sustaining a specified speed. Typically, a tire with a higher speed rating results in better handling. Speed ratings are determined via laboratory tests that simulate road performance at various speeds. I will deliver pics as soon as the weather here shapes up, snow and cold.

I had the Pathy in 5 inches of snow and ice underneath yesterday and I left the VDC on, I never had to put my Pathy in auto or 4x4. The Pathy did very well, and the tires were SWEET.
