Hey all, im a new pathfinder owner, i have a 2008 V8 2WD with 11500 miles. I have heard about the transmission cooler issues on this model but i have been told that is not an issue with mine... it has not had any bypass done or any aftermarket work as far as i can tell. Is the 2008 affected? Or maybe the V8 has a different radiator that is not affected? Or is it all crap and i should bypass the internal radiator cooler asap?

Also, i was going to try to see if i can squeeze a couple more mpg out of this thing as well. Right now if i keep my foot out of it and run abotu 67ish on the interstate i get 21-22 mpg highway and 18ish in town. I would like to bump that up. I was thinking the CAI and cat back exhaust but some cars its not worth it.

The radiator/trans cross contamination issue covers from 2005-2010 as far as I know.

I have the 2008 V8 as well and I just replaced the radiator with Nissan oem value..just in case...better be safe than sorry.

mine had the dreaded " bad" radiator. You can check the sticker on top for part #
