In-Cabin Microfilter Door Bolt

Postby myriad46 » Wed Dec 31, 2008 12:32 pm

Does anyone know what size bolt this is. I bought my PF new and when I went to change the filters it had no bolt.

Thanks

I don't know if any of them have a bolt. All the postings here from various owners show that nobody has encountered a bolt yet. I know the instructions are a bit misleading because, as I recall, they include a bolt in the removal instructions.

In short, there is no bolt. Just a plastic piece that holds everything together.

Steve is correct. There's no bolt . . . just a plastic clip that's a royal pain in the ass to release. Get yourself a good LED flashlight and go for it!

Same here, no bolt. But I can't say I've ever had a problem with the release tabs...once you get past the fact that it looks totally different than what's shown in the service manual, it's pretty easy to change out.

I only had a problem once with the tab, unfortunately, that problem was snapping it off in my hand. I guess I'll just have to McGuyver something in there.
