Transmission Slipping - 2nd - 3rd When Cold

Postby Aspenite » Sun Feb 08, 2009 11:41 pm

Ok...have another behaviour that I became aware of on my first Pathfinder I just bought a week ago.
First thing in the morning when I drive my 2001 LE 4X4, the transmission will slip briefly when trying to shift from 2nd to 3rd. The time it takes for the shift to complete takes much longer than normal, which allows the RPM's of the engine to go higher. Once it's really warmed up after about 10 mins of driving, it completely goes away.
I checked the transmission fluid, and it's fine.
It has 109K miles, had the 90K service and the 15K services done at 105K by the dealership.
Any recommendations on what I should consider doing?
Is this the early signs of the transmission failing?
Thanks...
