Towing w 2014 Pathfinder

Postby Mbear12 » Sat Oct 27, 2018 8:06 pm

I bought a used 2014 Pathfinder S with 18k miles three years ago. It has 71k miles now...no CVT issues. We have bought a 3500 lb camper. Added trailer brakes . On our first short trip there were no problems. My only concern is the transmission. I think there is a transmission cooler from the factory. I am having the trans serviced next week.
Does anyone have experience towing a similar weight trailer on a long trip?

Did it have the tow package or did you add the hitch?

I have a 2013 SL and have pulled our 3750 lb. travel trailer many times. In fact, I purchased it in Maryland and hauled it to Connecticut. They are rated to tow 5000 lbs. and I have had absolutely no issues.
