ok seriously, HID "bulbs" in halogen reflectors are crap. the bulb are physically different, and because of that, the HID bulbs do not reflect a correct beam pattern. they look like you are driving with your brights on all the time, and it is going to really piss off the people that are driving toward you, or in front of you.

if you want HID, then you have to retrofit an HID projector into your housing. that is the right way to do it. this HID bulb garbage doesnt work.

if you want brighter lights, buy sylvania ultravision. if you really need the blue or purple lights, then sylvania cool blue, sylvania silverstar, piaa extreme white, or piaa super plasma. one thing to think about though, tinted bulbs actually DECREASE the output of light, compared to identical bulbs without the tinting. think about it...

On the pathfinder they actually reflect very well, don't knock it until you try it, i used to think that too until i tried them out and I love them, and if you think Sylvania is up there with Quality just like HID's then wow you might wanna do some reading.

They are no true xenon by any chance but they do not spread out like your driving with highbeams at all times, they have a very sharp cut off line and I have been getting nothing but compliments and never gotten highbeamed on the highway and I already have 30 000 miles on my 2008.
