Running Boards

I just bought a 2010 SE with running boards and I'm wondering if they are adjustable? I could use them a few inches lower. Is that possible?

They are not made to be adjustable. I suppose new brackets could be fabricated to accomplish what you are trying to do, it you want to take it that far. A body shop should be able to help you.
