Postby mtbpath » Mon Jan 01, 2007 1:09 pm

Thanks Carl,
maybe not the ebay ones, but are there any aftermarket sets from a trusted manufacturer that makes reliable rotors?
just wondering if there are any out there?

At least they had a gravel trap. Saves the car from real damage.

I would just stick with a name brand like Brembo or Willwood or AP, or a trusted reseller like Stillen.

Dont forget the brake pads ... I ran the Hawk HPS pads on my SC Frontier ... man ...you wouldnt believe the difference ... I will be running them on the Pathfinder once it needs pads !!

Really no need to upgrade rotors , you wont notice anything from an Xdrilled or slotted Rotor on the street , They can help if you are having warping issues with stock rotors from lots of heat buildup ....

Exactly. Pads, ss brake lines, and good fluid is where I would start with the brakes. Slotting and drilling are just for show, and on the street give you nothing more than faster wearing pads and cracking rotors.
