Steering wheel controls

Postby Macgomes » Thu Jul 18, 2019 10:12 pm

Hello everyone,,
Does anyone know if this is possible? Salvage yard nearby has an 06 Pathy that was totaled, and I could pull the steering wheel (leather wrapped too), and plug it in. just wonder if the steering wheel radio controls would work. Any thoughts????

You don't give us enough information as to what you are trying to accomplish. I'm assuming you are planning on trying to get steering wheel controls to install in another Pathfinder that didn't come with them from the factory. However, you don't tell us what kind of audio system is in each vehicle, nor the trim and year of both vehicles. Chances are it's not going to be plug'n'play like you hope. For example, if you have an "S" trim with a base audio system and no steering wheel controls and you're trying to take the steering wheel controls from an "SE" or "LE" trim with Bose systems, you have to remember the main harness is often different between those vehicles and the audio head is also likely not compatible, let alone the clockspring.
