Tire pressures for Load Range E tires when towing/loaded?

Postby PocoLoco27 » Wed Jul 31, 2019 3:07 pm

Hello,

I bought some LT265/70 R17 Load Range E Nokian Rotiiva AT Plus tires for my 'new to me' 2010 Pathfinder SE. Might seem like overkill, but I tow a rally car while loaded with gear in the truck. I also use the truck for rally recce, which means driving on gravel stage roads/paths that can often be rough. Bonus is these are snowflake rated so will be legal in winter where I live (and more robust than a snow tire for a rally weekend).

What pressures would you suggest running in these tires when I load the vehicle up and tow? I'll run factory recommended pressures at other times.

Thanks in advance,
Chris

when i had my load range e tires, i ran anything from 50 to 70 psi depending on what I was doing. At 70psi, they are hard as rock and the ride is shit.

Thanks Terry. Under what circumstances would you run with 50psi, or 70psi?
