Best results when "repainting"

Postby TooMuchControl » Sun May 03, 2020 11:54 am

2005 Patty has a serious problem of peeling paint.
Need to repaint the roof and think about doing the front..

Are there best aftermarket ways to get a colour match apart from going to a shop...or am I best just to get an estimate and go from there.

For the roof, I would think rattle canning it would be fine, as a test, and was thinking to order online a couple of cans...

And ideas? Any way to get "Nissan" paint for a 2005 code?

Thanks all always!

You can try to paint it yourself, if you wish, but keep in mind that preparing the surface properly is a large part of the job and it's usually best left to professionals. I would at least get a couple of estimates from body shops before attempting the job yourself. For factory match paint, there's a number of choices. Express Paint is one of them:

Your paint code is listed on the sticker in the B-pillar when you open the driver's door. It'll have your VIN, paint code, trim code, axle code, etc.
