Meguiar’s Mirror Glaze Fine Cut Cleaner on headlights

Postby Swerve » Thu May 21, 2020 9:24 pm

I use Meguiar’s Mirror Glaze Fine Cut Cleaner to buff out scuffs and light scratches and gave it a whirl on my mildly fogged over headlights. Spent about 5 minutes buffing each headlight with this cleaner on a microfibre cloth and it turned out great!

I was thinking about getting a headlight cleaning kit but this did it.

This is good info.
I once had a shop make my headlights clear but they didnt polish them they used some kind of gel.

So now a couple years later that they are getting foggy again the next place said they cant improve on them since they have this stuff on them :(
Make me wish I did what u did.

Looks great!

I used a cleaning kit on my wife's 2004 Corolla about 5 years ago and the headlights are scuffed, dull, and turning yellow again. I just need to replace the headlights on her Corolla.

The only two solutions I know of that works is to replace the headlights and after polishing the headlights, spray a couple layers of clear coat onto the headlights and make sure they get waxed often.
