Yes, the V8 heater pipe is a different part than the V6.
So do we V8 guys (which is me too now, yayy!) have to worry about this also?
or not so much?

Car is going into a shop on Tuesday to get a whole bunch of stuff done anyways...

The heater pipe is different in the V8 models. I don't believe they have been an issue, but you may want to take a look at it and see if it has any plastic connections on it that get brittle like the ones on the V6.

There's definitely plastic at the firewall/heater core area also, but I couldn't find it on Nissanpartsdeal.com nor have I tried hard enough to find the part number for it. I'll look harder once spring rolls around.

The V8 part is 92408-ZS20A. It's under "body electrical-heater piping."

I just had this part fail on me while it was at the dealership for maintenance. I ended up ordering the all metal upgrade and installing it myself. My metal replacement did not have any bends or defects in the horizontal pipes. It lines up perfectly to the firewall. Like lebowski, I had to get longer hoses for the bottom vertical rubber hoses, but not by much. Hope this helps anyone that was on the fence.

Didn't realize you posted the part number for us, thanks! I'll probably order it so I have it handy when I change out a couple of my coolant lines due to rust and/or age in a few months when it warms back up.

Just had mine replaced. Surprised it lasted as long as it did with all the failures. I think some of the coolant leak caused my AC compressor to go bad though. After the install, one of the clamps that fit the hose to the motor above the compressor was loose, which caused some coolant seepage . This leak dripped right onto the compressor for approximately a month before I realized what was going on. About a week after noticing, the compressor went out. I thought it was the water pump at first. Lucky me.
