This was my first road trip since putting taller 265/75/16 tires on the Pathfinder S, which already has the tallest gears. Fully loaded then leveled out with airbags, 225 miles and -2400 ft of elevation, nice slow highway along the Lochsa river got me 27.1mpg! Of course it's necessary to go back uphill to get home, but I was impressed with how well it did and still managed a hair over 20mpg going the other direction. It doesn't climb hills on the highway quite as well as it used to although I'll be sticking with this tire size for clearance.
