Horn wire?

Postby DJLittleWonder » Mon Oct 26, 2009 5:13 pm

Hi all, I searched but couldn't find the answer. Does anyone know which wire is the horn wire on the inside of the cabin? I just got an alarm installed and the shop didn't connect the car horn to it. It seems like one wire from the alarm brain needs to be connected to trigger the car horn. I wanted to ask before I go poking around. Thanks in advance.

PS I know I could tap into the horn under the hood, but I want to keep things within the steering column.

don't even try it yourself. take it back to the alarm shop and have them do it. if there ever is a installation issue they may not want to fix it claiming that you tampered with the work they did.

^^^^ Very true. But just incase you feel adventureous it's the brown wire @ the horn switch for years 2005-2008.

isnt the horn an integral part of the alarm.

kudos to you for diagnosing the shops error. i would take the truck back there in a heartbeat.

plus, now you can check the quality of the repair. :)
