Lights no longer flash when locking car with key fob.

Postby ronnielyons » Tue Feb 02, 2010 9:43 am

We noticed one day our 2006 Pathfinder had developed a quirk. When it was new and you locked / unlocked it with the fob, the parking lights would flash and the horn honked. Now, it still locks and unlocks with the fob, but the flash and horn honk no longer occur. Any ideas, thanks!

i thinkthe manual says something about silent arming/disarm. start with the owners manual.

I'm not sure about the light flashing part, but you can turn the horn beep on and off, check in the owners manual. I turned my horn off but the lights still flash.

Yep, you were right. By holding both buttons on the fob down for 2 seconds or more, it changes the alarms mode from beep /flash to silent. Thanks for the help!

You can access the complete owners manual from this site, just enter the "2005+" forum and click on the 3rd sticky topic.
