Is this a decent deal?

Postby wiegs » Fri Mar 19, 2010 3:04 pm

Found a silver 07 LE with 30k miles. Dealer has is priced at 25900, but I think I can get him below 25. It is certified. Local trade. Vehicle was purchased new from the same dealer. What do you think?

where should I come in with an offer. Looking around my area, you cannot touch an 2007+ LE for less than $24,900

all certified 07 LE under 45k miles.

all 07-08 LE under 45k miles, starting at $18k. start looking at bottom of page 2. page 1 and top part of page 2 are all "featured" listings cost a lot more.

I found when I was shoping for mine it was almost cheaper to buy new(rebates, buyer loyalty, etc) vs used. All the dealers I went to wouldn't come off the price of used ones very much. The cheapest used one I found was like 23k with 20k miles. I bought a new SE that had everything the LE had except memory seats for 25k out the door.

There is a thread here of what some members have paid.

looks like the dealer is right in the ballpark for a certified 07 with low miles.

Doesn't seem that bad. I'm not a fan of leather so went for a loaded SE, but a certified LE around that price would have been in the ballpark. Certified should run $1,000-1,500 over a non-certified unit. It's basically a powertrain warranty and that's a pretty typical price anyway.

2008 was a minor change to body/interior, features, and updated dash with 9" LCD (SE and up models), available backup cam, etc. so you might consider that as well.

Yes that is a bit much for the mileage...

I dunno. I paid around 30K for a new '06 LE 2WD more than three years ago. I'm guessing it might bring about 18K now, despite having only 26K miles on it. From that perspective, their price seems a bit high.

Well 4x4 vs 4x2 is a big difference. There's a $2,000 difference when new and sometimes more than that used anywhere the snow flies. You'd probably get $18k on trade for yours but it should be closer $19-20k on a private deal or $21-22k certified on a dealer lot. $23-24k if 4x4....so $25k for a year newer model sounds about right. It's just math.... :D
