Christmas tree hunt

Postby pawjr74 » Mon Apr 26, 2010 7:18 pm

I just came across a couple of pictures of this last years Christmas tree hunt.

I rented a 4X4 Pathfinder to run some forest roads East of Payson, AZ (in the Forest lakes area)

I could have brought my 4X2 Pathfinder but the snow this winter was unpredictable. The weekend after this trip the roads were un-passable even with four wheel drive.

The drive in.

Hi Paw!

Where is so hard conditions you mentioned about - do you have pics? On these only light snow you can pass on your 4x2 easily.

Is it legal to cut christams trees in US? ;-)

BTW, Nice nature, good pics, but not so much..

Regards,
Max

I live a couple hours away from where these pictures were taken that's why I rented the 4x4. I didn't know what I was going to run in to.

I could have easily brought my 2 wheel drive on this trip.

The next weekend in the same area it got 2 to 3 feet of snow. I don't have any photos of that as I was back at home.

In Arizona you have to buy a permit that allows you to cut down your Christmas tree.
