Plan to buy a 1998 SE 4x4.
Hello all, new to the forum. I totaled my Frontier on monday. I've always wanted a Pathfinder, I need 4x4 (I live in ny) and I love Nissan stuff. So I found a 1998 Pathfinder for $2800. SE 4x4 (BLACK) No frills, 5-speed 110,000-MI. Grey interior. I am going to go over this truck with a fine tooth comb today and I have a few quetions, What do I need to check for? What do I need to look for? Where are the problem areas? I've heard the frames are a trouble area on these vehicles. But I head this was corrected by 1998? I will check all fluids, but are there any I should really focus HARD on? And will ANY pieces from my Frontier (same year 1998) fit this truck? I know the wheels will. But what about interior stuff? I want to know what to pull off this thing before I try to sell whats left. ANY help would be great! I need to make a smart decision.
