So im new to this 4x4 thingy. But i notice that my shifter wont move above neutral. I put the regular shifter in NEUTRAL then i should be able to move the 4x4 shifter freely right? But it wont move above N can anyone help me?

im guessing you have the old generation R50?

i hate to ask a stupid question, but have u tried pushing it a bit harder?

its not a simple slide-in gear like the shiftstick. you have to apply just a bit more force. also its not a straight line, you may have to move the stick to the right first before forward. (or left im sorry my memory is terrible with the R50, drove it long time ago)

Try slowly letting of the brake while in N and shifting into 4L. It allows the gears to move a little and line up. At least that is what it seems like.

Nevertheless, this always worked for me.
