New from the UK

Postby jk2k3 » Thu Oct 14, 2010 6:27 am

Hi guys

Just bought my 2005 pathfinder and absolutely love it. Looking at getting some good off road tyres for it soon, so I can use it a little more adventurously.

Anyone else from the UK?

I have only noticed one problem so far and wondered if anyone can help??

I took it to a car wash and when driving down the road i heard water moving and then it drained out onto passenger side footwell in back left corner.
I have tried taking off the guards under the front wheel and clearing out mud but dont think that has solved it.

Where else could this water be coming from ( coolant levels remain constant) could it be the windscreen ( i have looked at where the black bit meets the windscreen and it seems to have a small gap along most of it....should this be fully sealed?? can anyone check theirs.

Thanks alot for any help or advice.

Jacob

welcome. check if the windsheild is a eom or aftermarket glass. if it's been replaced it probably wasn't sealed properly.

I have checked and it has 'Nissan ----- Saint gobar sekurity' ----*serial number*' stamp on it. ... however the seal from the black bit below the windscreen is not completely stuck to the windscreen, could this be the problem??? or is the main seal deeper down?

Thanks
