Knocking valves

Ok so I have a 2008 Pathfinder and I hear some valve knocking... it has 68000 miles on it and i run 89 gas in it.....any suggestions here?

There's been talk around here about intake runners making a noise like that. I get it at times and I think it's fuel related. I have found a couple stations that I can buy their 87 octane and not have any problems...but others I get knocking. 91 octane is recommended for maximum performance (see owners manual). If I can't buy from the stations I know work well...I buy the 93 octane.

Try gas with no ethanol. Unfortunately its getting hard to find.

Just bought 93 octane so we will see how that goes......

This time of year, Washington Stae switches to Oxygenated gasoline. emissions B.S..
