driver door won't open

driver door won't open
for the last few weeks, since it has gotten colder, the driver door of my 08 pathfinder, randomly, just wont open. something in the door lock or lever seems to either be broken or freezes. i sprayed some lube/antifreeze in the lock mechanism earlier thus week and that worked until this morning, but not it wont open again. any ideas?
Same thing happened to my wifes 07.....the dealer couldnt replicate the problem and wouldnt fix it because they said it wasnt broken. In the end I droped $100 for the new lock/actuator assy and did it my self at home......took about 1hr start to finish. If you have any mecanical ability at all you can do this..........I say its a 5 on a scale of 10 in the difficulty department.
