Wow, I just saw your pics and as it happen I have just installed the same rims on my 2011 white silver edition. I used the 285/50/20 tires though. In think they look great. :D

I have a white one as well, but I can not get friendly with black rims of any kind. Sorry, but I do not like them. The great thing about humans is that we all have different tastes and what matters is that you like them. I can say that I like the truck though!

Dude, this thing looks nice. Like an off road Knight Rider. Details of the job? How did you do the center caps so cleanly?

nutbar... thank you very much! it took me a day and a half to do it all. i have some photos if you want... but to start with once all tires were off i popped the center caps out, do it carefully not to break any of the tabs that hold them in. once that was done the nissan symbol also comes of with two smalls silver tabs. then washed inside and outside of rims and caps. i then sanded the caps and rims with 800 sandpaper wet. you can use 600 too. once that was done and they were completely dry i taped up the rims and primered using black primer with two coats. approx 20 -30 min depending on temp between coats. then after second coat went flat black. i only did one coat but i think i should have done more. let me know if you would like the photos or more info...

thanks again. i believe next is tires, hopefuly nothing will get scratched. i def would like to do some off roading with it soon, mainly in the snow considering central jersey already got some this weekend.

You did a great job on those rims. You might try spraying some clearcoat over them to keep them from getting scratched up this winter.

Sounds like you got the process down. If you took pics the whole way this would be a good "how to" write up. What brand paints did you use?

Did you remove the tires prior to paint? What kind of paint did you use, rattle can or something more professional? I'd be happy with that, if they come out as out as good as yours.

If you're concerned about longevity you'd probably want them powdercoated.

sorry for the delay... did not remove the tires i just used note cards around the rim to protect the tire... regular rattle can, first a few primer then some matt finish black... i want to get a matt finish clear coat soon.
