Pathfinder Adventura '57' Plate 4X4 Problem

Postby PestGo » Wed Feb 02, 2011 11:43 am

I have a Nissan Pathfinder Adventura '57' Plate model.

I purchased it form my local dealers just before Christmas on a 3 year finance package via Nissan.

When the snow came down in December 2010, I lost total traction and at no speed at all, slid sideways into a shallow ditch.

There was not hard impact or speed.

I was towed out by a Landrover which was a very smooth operation.

Body work damage to the driver's side was created.

My insurance has agreed to carry out the necessary body work repairs but will no go ahead with the repairs until the vehicle is out of four wheel drive.

My Pathfinder is currently at my local Nissan Dealership.

They seem to be having difficulties in getting it out of four wheel drive having tried to do it physically & mechanically by stripping down the auto gear box etc.

This did not prove to be successful and have now ordered new solenoids as they say it may be an electrical fault?

Do you have any idea's on how to get my pathfinder out of four wheel drive as I fear that my car will be written off by the insurance company if it cannot be sorted out.

I look forward to your responses.
