I have just removed my Michelin ice x2 tires and wheels, I was beginning to have some stability issues when on dry pavemant, it seemed to have more roll, I out this down to the softer winter rubber compound. I spoke to Michelin re the suitability of the tire which is the same size as the all season 265x65x17.
On removing the wheel I noticed it was stamped 6.5x17. this is narrower than the stock alloy and while I appreciate a narrower wheel and tire are better in snow I wondered if my tire depot has supplied the wrong wheel for this size of tire, is this a possibility.
