2000 PROGRAMMER OPTIONS

Postby BADWOLF » Sat Dec 24, 2011 4:03 pm

Hi, are there any ECM programming options worthwhile for the old 3.3. Performance has never been strong of course and I was wondering if anyone has improved it with reprogramming.

I would also welcome any other mods that have worked to beef it up engine wise.

There is def no chip tuning for the 3.3 as it has timing adjustment but no cam timing adjustment so there is no ability for the ECM to be performance tuned.

you could swap to an electric fan and ditch the Viscous coupled fan.(parasitic loss of HP) lighter pulleys if you could find them (prob not) and better exhaust, but I have never found anyone who makes one (even NISMO does not)

Other possibilities: The older 300Z had a veeery similiar 3.0 motor. VG33E vs. VG30E (I believe) possibly some of the mods for it may swap over?? You could go custom fab intake or turbo and headers and then even standalone engine software if you really want power.
