gas tank level with DTE reminder

OK, it has been a week since I have posted, so we march along with another queston.

When my DTE gauge says zero and I fill up, I still can only put about 17 gallons in the tank. This leaves me about 4 gallons still in the tank, not close to empty

How can I get the DTE estimate to be closer to zero?

Have you checked the tank to see if you may have a dent?
