Hello all. Just bought a 2011 LE, slate grey last week and love it. Replaced a 2008 Cadillac SRX. Already installed HID 6k headlights and fog from DDM( which, since I live in SD is local and don't have to pay for shipping which is nice!). Plan on putting a magnaflow system and eventually a CAI. The forum has been very helpful. All the info is great reference. Thanks!

Iphone App

Postby cheech2317 » Fri Mar 23, 2012 12:33 pm

Also I think an Iphone app for this site would be cool! There was one for the Cadillac forum that I used to use all the time. It would be nice just to use to kill time when I am supposed to be working...haha! Anybody know how to do that?

Welcome to the forum. On your HIDs from DDM tuning, did you get the hi/low version? I bought them and installed them on my brother's 01 frontier but I don't drive it and not sure how well it works. He likes it, but I'm still unsure about it for the Pathfinder. Let me know what you did.

@volvite I did not get lo/high. 1st they do not carry a bi-xenon kit. 2nd living in San Diego I could not tell you the last time I used my high beams on any of my vehicles. With the HID fogs my light output is very bright, like obnoxiously bright. I know others here have said that know matter what bulb they used, the output is not good because of the reflector. I find that untrue, maybe it is because I do mostly city driving or also I read they made changes the headlight for 2008+. They install was easy, maybe 30 min for all 4.

Well I've seen on their site they do offer a hi/low kit. I've actually bought this kit for my brother's frontier truck. I do see your point that you don't see the use of a high beam driving in mostly city. However, some places still require vehicle inspections and they check to see if the low/high beams work. Thanks for the reply.

@volvite your right they do carry it online. I guess they just didn't have any on the store in SD. And thanks for the info about low/hi might be needed to pass inspection. I should look into California law.

Hey no problem. I'm still thinking about buying, just have not pulled the trigger and bought an HID kit yet. I have however used DDM tuning alot in the past. They have a really nice kit, especially the slim line kit. Hope your pathfinder is treating you well. :D
