Catalytic Converters

Postby excalibur23 » Fri Apr 06, 2012 9:14 am

I need to replace my front cats, a year n half ago, I replaced them with walker but they crapped out, so I was told to get OEM. But pricey as hell $700ea. Ive been looking at Magnaflow cats, but I cant find any one on the forum that have used them...

Has anyone have experience with magnaflow cats, not their other products, actual cats on their pathy.

Thanks in advance.

nope, can't say I've seen anyone post about that.

Cats rarely 'crap out'. Are you sure there isn't an issue with your engine?

What codes are you getting?

Yea the codes I get are for the cats, o2 sensors were changed a few months ago. I had walker cats, but they crapped out in a year, so at this point I think will try the magnaflow cats. Their 329 each on oreilly auto parts

Edit: I have 124,000mi and P4030 code

Last couple of converters I've replaced were Bosal, but they weren't on Nissans. The seemed to be better made than the Walker units. I can't speek for Eastern as I have yet to use them.
