Where did you get the light bar? I've been looking at one from ddmtuning.com. They have some nice LED lights on that website. Can't wait to see it finished and how much it lights up the road.

Don't hate, just encourage.

Exactly. A couple of the mods I have done were because of what others on here have done and had good luck with.

The light bar looks sick. Keep up the sweet mods!

Thanks guys! I bought the light bar as part of a group buy on thenewx.org forum. A member on that forum arranged the group buy directly from the manufacturer (www.totron.com). The same guy is organizing another one that ends in August. I think the current cost for the 30" is $350 shipped.

Rigid Industries makes a nice product too, lots of different sizes. Made in the USA, check them out at www.rigid industries.com.

X2. Rigid makes some top notch stuff. I have a set of their duallys I'm using for back-up lights. Theretrofitsource.com where I bought my HID projectors is also offering an offroad LED light bar.

That is insanely cheap for a 30" LED bar. Let us know how it works, what it looks like at night, etc.

Finally got around to wiring up my off-road lights:

1) FXR HID retrofit low beams

2) FXR HID retrofit high beams

3) FXR HID retrofit high beams + Totron 30" LED light bar

4) Totron 30" LED light bar only

I'm still trying to learn how to take better pictures, so sorry for the crappy quality. Pics were taken using a Canon Rebel T1i (ISO 3200, 1/25, F4.0).

retrofit headlamps

Postby HydroPonix » Tue Jan 15, 2013 9:27 pm

did you do the retrofit yourself? I would be very interested to know how you did yours.

Yes, I did it myself. I initially tried doing this to my 05 lights, but the bowls were very shallow, making a clean retrofit that much more difficult. The 09 Frontier lights I hacked and retrofitted have much deeper bowls. If you're going to do this on your own, take your time!
