Transmission/Clutch Problem

Postby suprafreak7m » Sat Sep 01, 2012 3:09 pm

1988 Pathfinder, 3.0L, 5-Speed
Engine Running

I traded an AK-47 variant rifle for this pathfinder, and I would like your guys' opinion on this problem I have.

The shifter and transfer case shifter will move into all of their positions as crisply as any vehicle I have owned, however, when you release the clutch pedal, there is nothing. Not a differance in sound of the engine at all. Vehicle doesn't move, drive shaft doesn't move. With the engine running and clutch released you
can shift through all of the gears and there is absolutely nothing. The clutch pedal is fairly soft with some resisitance.

If I change the clutch, will it fix this, or are there other problems?
Is there a clutch Inspection cover? ( I Couldn't find it )

Thank you for reading this post, hopefully someone can help me out.
