Just wondering what others are getting for mpg lately and could post on that. I did a bit of a city run of about 150 kms today, reset my L/100 on the counter at start and end of the day it was reading 9.1L/100 kms which converts to about 26 mpg. Somewhere I've read that you can learn to get good mpg's on these by driving in bare feet, don't know if there's any truth to it but most of the time I found myself coasting with no accelerator applied.

2. I've had my little mpg window display all kinds of oddities, so I simply don't use it. I rely strictly on manual calculation after each fill up.
3. Are you calculating your L/100km based only on the onboard readout, or are you manually calculating?
4. You still haven't verified if your tires are giving you false readings. You really need to pull out the GPS or have a Mountie friend take some readings using laser/radar.
5. I'm betting your tires are giving you false readings, although I doubt that equates into anything more than a hit of -1 to your mpg.
6. Even at sea level and granny driving, nobody anywhere has posted mpg numbers even close to what you claim. I'm not saying you are lying, but that something else has to be affecting your mpg claims that you are not taking into account, especially when you say 26mpg in the CITY.
7. If/when the smoke clears after having triple checked everything & you can provide absolute proof of 26mpg, then you really need to fill us in on what you are doing different from anyone else on all the worldwide Nissan forums. I'd probably cut off my own finger if it enabled me to drive 26mpg in the city.
8. I wouldn't be surprised if the US Pathfinder builds have everything programmed to give the worst mpg possible. Strange that nobody in the US has noticed mpg like you've been having (oil conspiracy?). Either that or someone actually did, but died of a heart attack before being able to report it.

530km is about 329 miles, which I can also do on 1 tank. Still, if I fill up with 19 gallons, that only gives me about 17.33mpg.geoffstgermaine wrote:Bare feet huh? Sounds like a myth.
Anyway, driving back from Fargo last weekend I was down to around 8.9 L/100km. Once I got home it went up to around 12 L/100 km with the city driving factored in for that tank of fuel. I had about 350 km of highway driving and 180 km of city driving on that tank.
If Greybrick was getting 26mpg city, he'd be getting over 500 miles to the tank (less than that if his tires are indeed throwing off his numbers).
Anyone else getting 500 miles to a tank?
On my way down to Austin from Fort Worth, about 200 miles, I set the cruise to 69-71 and averaged 21 mpg. With the little bit of driving I did while down there, and the trip back up, I ended up with about 20.5 for the 450 mile trip. I think this thing will get decent milage, I just need to keep my foot out of it. Seems like I always find myself going about 80 on the freeway when I am just going around town. Also, the intake could have helped as well. My best mileage before this was about 18.5 without setting the cruise.

I don't see how anybody could get that kind of kind of gas mileage. I've travelled distances of around 500 to 550km at a time and have only seen it around 13l/100km. That was going pretty slow too, around 110km/h. Of course the speed limit up here is only 100km/h. Due to the long distance I would usually travel around 125km/h(77mph) and of course it would be worse. I would average around 490 km going at around the speed limit.
What I don't like about the Pathfinder is that it has a small gas tank size. The brochures, owners manual says 80 litres(21 gallons), but I have never filled anywhere near that amount. The most I ever put in the vehicle was around 65 litres(17 gallons), and that was when the DTE read 5km. It uctually went blank shortly after that, and before I got to the gas station. It would've been awesome if it had a bigger gas tank, that way there would be less stops. Otherwise the vehicle is awesome.
