TPMS light

Postby martyf250 » Mon Feb 11, 2013 11:12 am

my light will come on while driving to work at about the same distance on most days. it doesn't blink it just comes on and stays on until i turn the car off and will stay off when restarted.

Any idea what might be wrong? faulty sensor?

Yeah, most likely one of your sensors' batteries is dying.

I had Nissan identify which of my wheels has the dying sensor last time I was there. I picked one up off the internet for $25, I plan on having Tire Rack or someone remove the tire to replace it whenever I get around to it.

The Nissan cost for replacing the sensor would be somewhere between $200 and $300...

Agreed. I had one die right around 70K miles. Dealer charged me about $120 to fix (see invoice below).

My new sensors don't fit in my new wheels. They seem to be angled to where it will not fit when the tire is mounted.

Anyone know of any aftermarket sensors for aftermarket wheels?
