Manual Transmission Removal HELP

Postby ladam31 » Sat May 04, 2013 6:14 pm

I'm currently removing the transmission from my 2011 pathy to sort out my starter motor and clutch problems as the Nissan dealer couldn't after seven weeks.

anyway I've removed the mid section of the exhaust, the interior components around the gear stick, the cross member, starter motor, rev sensor, slave cylinder, all the electrical plugs from gearbox & transfer case and all nine bell housing bolts,

The transmission is coming away from the engine at the bottom however the top still seems attached. is there a trick to getting them apart? safely and without damaging anything??

also anyone have a link to a service/technical manual for the 2011 Pathfinder? Mine is a 2011 ST-L 2.5TDI 6 speed manual.
